The BA Falcon, and the subsequent BF model were a substantial update on the previous AU Falcon, featuring a complete interior and exterior redesign. They also had a completely revised Barra 6 cylinder motor, which in its naturally aspirated form produced up to 182kw. The performance of this engine was nevertheless hindered by the restrictive stock exhaust system, and substantial gains can be realised by fitting a Manta Performance exhaust upgrade. The Manta exhaust system uses 2.5″ mandrel bent piping, which is perfectly matched to the Falcon’s output, giving good overall increases in power and torque, while also improving responsiveness down low. High flow mufflers are used to control noise without impeding on performance. The full exhaust system with extractors will give the most noticeable increases in power and torque, while the cat back system is ideal if you are just looking for better sound, or a replacement for your stock exhaust system.
